These
shows for Arab horses is governed by the “Rules for Conduct of
Shows” as established by the European Conference of Arab Horse
Organizations (ECAHO): these rules will be applied in their entirety

Non ECAHO Classes, such classes results are not recognized by ECAHO and do
not qualify for any ECAHO Championships.
- Under ECAHO Rules, No class
may be split unless there are more than 16 horses entered. Combination of classes with the next age group of the same
sex is permitted only if the number of entries for the class is
below three.
Conditions of Entry
- International show open to
horses registered in any WAHO recognized studbook by the closing
date of entry.
National
show is open to horses registered at birth by Egyptian registry by the
closing date of entry.
Entered horses have to be
vaccinated by El zahraa stuff, and all participating horses should be
vaccinated at least one month before the date of the show.
Foal classes are not
recognized by EAHSC. And only foals born in
Egypt
may be shown.
Foals may not compete in
EAHSC championships, nor will they qualify for any future Title or A
Show.
EAHSC rules will apply on
foal classes
Foals must have a minimum
age of 3 months at the date of the show, and must be shown with dam up
to 5 months, Foals over 5 months can be shown without dam.
Any title show or A show
champion are not allowed to participate in B show for the rest of the
calendar year and calendar year following, EXCEPT in case a junior
horse become senior.
Anybody entering an
overqualified horse will be liable to fine of 600 € and the horse
will be disqualified
The owners
whom wishes to enter their horses can fill and submit the "horses
form" starting First of September
- The closing date of entries
is 19th of October 2009, late entries cannot be accepted.
Any horses whose details are not printed in the catalogue are not
allowed to start when the details were not provided by the owner
before that date.
Method of judging for the National
Championship and the International B-Show
- Each Class is judged by
five judges
- Judges judge each class
independently from one another and without catalogue according to
the fol1owing criteria:
Type
1- 20 points
Head and neck
1- 20 points
Body and top line
1- 20 points
Legs
1- 20 points
Movement
1- 20 points
- Half points are allowed in
the international show scoring system.
- The highest and lowest
score given by judges in each category will be eliminated.
The final score will be the total of the remaining points.
- Judging of movement will be
at the entrance lap.
- Tow assistants are allowed
to stand in the show ring in corners, to assist the handler; so that
no noise is allowed from out side the show ring
- Foal Classes will be judged
comparatively (ranking)
- In the Championships, three
awards will be given; Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Bronze medal
Medication Control:
- FEI testing vet is
available, in case the DC should request that a drug test be carried
out.
- All necessary treatment
for horses competing should be done through El Zahraa official
veterinarian, who will be the appointed as show veterinarian.
In the event of a tie in qualifying places
- The higher place will be
given to the horse with the most points for type. If there is still
a tie, the higher place will be given to the horse with the most
points in movement. Failing a decision on either of these, one judge
chosen by ballot will name his preference.
- This method will apply in
case of tie below qualifying places
Championships
- The first and second
placed horses in each class qualify for the championship. The Junior
Female Championship from 1 to 3 years old fillies (classes 1, 2 and
3), the Junior Male Championship from 1 to 3 year old colts (classes
7, 8 and 9). The Senior Female Championship from the classes of
mares 4 years and older )classes
4 ,5 and 6) the Senior Male Championship from the classes of
stallions 4 years and older (classes 10, 11 and 12), all
Championships will be judged in accordance with EAHSC Rules for
Championships
- The Gold medal winner is
selected from amongst the horses placed first in their class by
individual written votes from each judge. In the event of a tie, the
horse that received the highest number of points in its class will
be declared Gold medal winner. In the event of a further tie, the
"Rules for Ties in Qualifying Places" will apply.
- The Silver medal winner
will be selected in the same way as the Gold medallist, from all
other horses that have qualified for the Championship.
- The Bronze medal winner
will be selected using the same system used to select the Silver
medallist.
- All horses that qualify
for their respective Championships must take part in the
Championship. Unless a certificate from the DC veterinarian is
produced, failure to compete will disqualify the horse from the
show, with its record of score and class placing being deleted and
the horse being disqualified from showing for the period of one year
as from the date of the show. In the event of a disqualification,
horses placed behind the disqualified horse will move up a place in
the class but not be entitled to enter the Championship.
Prizes and Rosettes
- Trophies and Rosettes for
the winners (from first to fifth placed horses)
Documents
- All entries must be
accompanied by a photocopy of the registration document including a
graphic description or a horse passport to check the identity of the
horse, with there vaccination been shown.
- Passports of horses coming
from abroad should include the dates of their vaccinations according
to FEI Rules.
Complaints
- The organizing committee
will investigate the complaint with the DC and reach the final
verdict that will no longer be subject to further discussions nor
appeal.
- The organizing committee
will not allow by any means the improper manners of objections and
reserves the right in taking any action stipulated in the ECAHO
rules that can vary from disqualifying the horses entered by the
same owner and can go further to prohibit the owner for one to more
future shows.
Vet. And Farrier
- Vet and a Farrier will be
available throughout the show. Costs are to be covered by the
exhibitor.
Liability disclaimer
- The organizer accepts no
liability for exhibitors’ costs. The organizers shall not be
liable for death, injury, disease or damage to any person, horse or
property however caused. It is furthermore an express condition of
entry that each entrant shall indemnify the organizers against all
actions, costs, claims, demands or liability whatsoever arising out
of any action in which he or she may be concerned.
Stabling
- Stables will be available
for participating horses beginning from 9th Nov.2009, however horses
participating in the International B show will be allowed to be
accommodated starting from 13th of
Nov 2009,
The horses coming from abroad, they are allowed to be
accommodated upon arrival and
in coordination with the organizing committee.
- Any horse occupying
stables not allocated to it (thus preventing the use of the stable
by the rightful occupant), will not be allowed to compete in the
show.
Starting order
- Starting order in each
class will be from younger to older horses.
- Horses are not allowed to
start unless the handler wears the exhibit number sheets, exhibit
number sheets will be obtained at the secretary at the showground
one day before the show.
Conditions of payment
- The Fee for participation
for each head is 300 Egyptian
pounds.
Other regulations
- Horses may be fully or
partly body-clipped, subject to eyelashes being left uncut, hair
inside the ears left unshaved and tactile hair left intact around
the nose, muzzles and the eyes. Horses not fulfilling these criteria
will not be allowed to participate.
- Withdrawn horses with out
informing Dc subject the owner to a fine of 200 LE
- horses coming late to the
collecting ring will not be allowed to participate
- Blood and urine samples
are to be taken for detection of prohibited drugs. The samples will
be drawn by members of the DC committee and the assigned qualified
veterinarian from champions, as well
as random samples from participating horses.
